The Cyprus Regional Finals of the Startup World Cup 2024, held in Limassol, brought together an impressive array of startups, investors, and industry experts in a vibrant celebration of innovation.

The jury members were faced with a tough decision as nine startups pitched their ideas. Yuriy Romanyukha, a jury member, noted, “Each startup addressed complex global challenges across various industries. It was a tough decision, but we are confident the selected team will represent Cyprus well on the global stage”.

The quality of pitches was echoed by Panayiotis Philimis, who added, “I was pleasantly surprised by the maturity and quality of the startups”.

The event’s venue, ambiance, and meticulous planning were praised by attendees. Carolos Georgallis remarked, “The venue was exceptional and well-structured, attended by a diverse mix of entrepreneurs, investors, and market participants”.

Maria Lavithi Howard, Founder and CEO at Heroes Made, commented, “It was a great venue with a welcoming atmosphere. The speakers were excellent and provided valuable insights”.

Watching the passion and creativity that went into each startup idea and pitch reminded me why we do what we do” he noted.

Maria Lavithi added, “Engaging conversations and plenty of networking opportunities made the event truly special”.

The Startup World Cup serves as a crucial platform for fostering innovation and collaboration in the startup ecosystem. Ali Krynitsky VP from Cybergizer noted how the event enables startups to showcase their achievements, “especially important as raising funds becomes more challenging”.
