The Future interrogates -kindly- the high management floor

Welcome to the Leader’s Insights, a place where The Future, asks the simplest, yet, the most interesting questions to the executives of well-known companies, startups and innovators.

This time we talk with, Alina Miroshnichenko, CMO at CAPSBOLD creative marketing agency.

Alina Miroshnichenko is a seasoned professional with over 14 years of experience in international marketing. Throughout her career, she has established herself as an expert in strategic marketing, branding, and event management, working with leading international companies such as Jones Lang LaSalle, Soft2Bet, BrainRocket, ADG Group, TASHIR Group, and other major holdings. Alina has extensive experience in launching and managing large-scale projects in various sectors, including commercial real estate, iGaming, and EdTech.

Currently, Alina serves as the Chief Marketing Officer (CMO) at CAPSBOLD — a global creative marketing agency known for its bold and vibrant campaigns, as well as innovative 3D videos and motion design. CAPSBOLD collaborates with prominent projects such as Beonix, ETKO events, Reflect Festival, and many others.

Let’s see what Miroshnichenko has to say…

1. Do you remember your first day on the job at CAPSBOLD?

I clearly remember my first day on the job, and it left a lasting impression. What stood out immediately were the friendly people and the welcoming atmosphere. Working in an environment where support and understanding prevail is very important, especially considering how much time we spend at work. All of this allowed me to quickly adapt and become a part of the creative family at CAPSBOLD.

2. What is more difficult: being interviewed to join a team or doing the interviews yourself?

In my experience, conducting interviews is more challenging. As an interviewer, you take on significant responsibility for creating and maintaining a harmonious team environment. It’s not just about assessing the candidate’s professional skills but also ensuring that they will integrate well with the existing atmosphere and contribute to its development. At my current job, I’ve grown a team from scratch to 30 people, and each interview reinforces this theory. Managing this process requires experience, empathy, and strategic thinking.

3. What do you most value in your employees?

I strive to be a mentor and partner to my team. I value honesty, determination, and a continuous drive for growth. Trust is crucial, and it’s important that I can rely on the words and actions of my colleagues. I also highly appreciate a passion for the work, a commitment to excellence, and the ability to work well within a team.

4.  Which is a motto/quote you use in your work?

Think outside the box, and the sky’s not the limit!

5. If you were back to the start, what would you advise yourself for a great career?

Don’t forget to reinvent yourself. We live in a rapidly evolving world where new tools and approaches emerge every week, making old methods obsolete. It’s crucial for any professional to stay up-to-date with industry trends, experiment with new tools, and seize opportunities before they become mainstream. Continuously develop yourself by reading valuable books, acquiring new skills, and staying observant—this will keep you several steps ahead of the competition.

Seek out mentors and advisors. If you want to excel in a particular field, a great strategy is to invest a few hours with someone who has succeeded in that area. This can save you a lot of time and effort, provide valuable guidance from point A to point B, and help you channel your energy effectively. Don’t be afraid to ask questions and learn from others—sometimes, one piece of advice at the beginning can completely change the course of your career.

6. How do you pump up your creativity?

To boost my creativity, I change my surroundings: traveling, walking, and attending interesting events inspire me. I also explore new creative methodologies and hold meetings in unconventional places, such as by the sea.

7. What is a talent you would like to have?

A talent I would love to have is the ability to speak all the languages in the world, as it would eliminate communication barriers, deepen cultural understanding, and help me develop professional connections.

8. How do you balance work and personal life?

When you are truly passionate about what you do, the boundary between work and personal life can become blurred, and this is a perfectly natural process. For me, maintaining work-life balance isn’t about strict separation but rather integrating work into my life. 🤓 Developing the ability to shift focus and stay present in the moment helps me enjoy even rare moments of downtime without compromising my mental well-being.

9.  What are the top five foods you like in Cyprus?

  • Watermelon and Feta Salad,
  • Tuna Tartare,
  • Souvlaki,
  • Grilled Halloumi,
  • Saganaki.

10.  Can you name your top five favourite places in Cyprus?

  • Sea You Beach Bar (Paphos),
  • Aphrodite Hills,
  • Pissouri Bay,
  • Kourion,
  • Paralimni Beach.

11.  Which personality, throughout history, do you admire most?

I admire pioneers, and I greatly respect Steve Jobs for his revolutionary approach, principled mindset, and pursuit of perfection that transformed an entire industry. He created products that fostered emotional attachment among consumers, and his presentations inspired many generations of marketers.

12.  Who is your favourite author/book that helped your career?

It’s hard to choose just one book that has influenced my career, so I’ll highlight four, each of which played a key role. “Ogilvy on Advertising” by David Ogilvy is a foundational book that teaches how to create effective advertising campaigns based on research and creativity. “How Brands Grow” by Byron Sharp is a complex but valuable guide for practicing marketers. “The Five Dysfunctions of a Team” by Patrick Lencioni helps improve team dynamics. And finally, “Alice in Wonderland” by Lewis Carroll serves as a reminder of the importance of flexible thinking, imagination, and the courage to think outside the box. I often return to these books, drawing ideas and inspiration from them in my work.

13.  Where would you advise our readers to go this summer?

As a resident of Cyprus, I’m accustomed to endless summer, so for me, a summer vacation is an opportunity to change the scenery and enjoy something completely different. I would recommend heading to Scandinavia, Sweden, Norway, and Denmark, which offer stunning nature, unique landscapes, and refreshing coolness.

Additionally, Switzerland and Austria are excellent choices for those who love mountainous scenery and staying active in the great outdoors.

However, regardless of where you decide to go, the key is to find a place that truly allows you to relax, recharge, and find inspiration for future achievements. May your journey become a source of new experiences and fresh ideas!
