Finance Records Highest Earnings, Agriculture Lowest
Average gross monthly earnings in 2025 varied considerably by economic activity, ranging from €956 in agriculture, forestry and fishing to €5,038 in financial and insurance activities.
All sectors recorded annual growth in average earnings. Mining and quarrying registered the largest increase, at 10.3%, followed by information and communication at 7.7% and financial and insurance activities at 7.0%.
The figures for mining and quarrying should be interpreted with caution, as the sector employs a relatively small number of workers, making estimates more sensitive to changes in individual data points.
