BrainRocket has closed its Limassol offices and offered most remaining Cyprus-based employees relocation packages, marking the end of a major phase for one of the island’s largest technology employers.
All company offices and leased premises in Limassol were closed over the past month, including sites in at least two locations. The company has removed its branding from the buildings, while employees who remain in Cyprus have been told to work remotely until further notice.

Relocation Moves Staff Abroad
Most remaining employees have been offered relocation packages to Spain and other countries where BrainRocket operates. Valencia is the main destination, with some packages including flights and temporary accommodation.
The move follows a restructuring that began in summer 2025, when BrainRocket started transferring much of its business from Limassol to Valencia. The company employed around 1,500 people in Cyprus at the time, with more than 1,000 understood to have been affected.
Hundreds were offered relocation packages, mainly to Valencia, while a smaller part of the operation was expected to move to Malta.
Cyprus Revival Fails To Materialize
Many foreign employees accepted the relocation offers and left Cyprus, while some who stayed found jobs with other technology and foreign-exchange firms in Limassol.
BrainRocket’s departure initially appeared less certain after discussions with President Nikos Christodoulides led to expectations that the company would retain a sizeable Cyprus operation. The Cyprus Chamber of Commerce and Industry also cautioned against drawing conclusions from incomplete information.
The expected revival did not materialize. Staff continued to leave, operations shifted abroad and the company’s Limassol footprint contracted.
Valencia Becomes The Main Hiring Hub
BrainRocket vacancies have increasingly focused on Valencia, with several positions requiring successful applicants to relocate to Spain. Some also include flights and temporary accommodation.
The closure of the Limassol offices now confirms the broader shift, with BrainRocket consolidating its operations abroad and Valencia emerging as its main base.
