Let’s see what Fleitman has to say…

1.  Do you remember your first day on the job at DISPL?

Yes, I’ll never forget it. My first meeting with the CEO was amusing—we both showed up on different video platforms. But that small hiccup didn’t slow us down; instead, it became the first of many challenges we tackled with creativity and humor. Now, eight years later, it’s a fun story reflecting our partnership’s flexibility and resilience.

2.  What is more difficult: being interviewed to join a team or doing the interviews yourself?

Both have their challenges, especially in the beginning. Being interviewed feels like having to prove your worth in a short time while conducting interviews requires looking beyond resumes to assess people’s potential. However, both become equally manageable as you gain experience and professionalism

3.  What do you most value in your employees? Why is it so important for you for your company?

I value employees who are engaged in our mission, results-driven, open-minded, and ambitious — it makes all the difference. In a startup, having a team with passion and determination is crucial because the journey is filled with challenges, and without that inner drive and passion, burnout can happen quickly. I believe soft skills are even more essential in our fast-changing environment.

4.  Which is a motto/quote you use in your work?

We’ll find a way to do it.’ For me, this is more than just a phrase — it’s a mindset. Every challenge is an opportunity to innovate, and every obstacle is a chance to grow.

5.  If you were back to the start, what would you advise yourself for a great career?

Set ambitious goals and have a clear vision of the person you want to become. Make every decision with that vision in mind. Be brave, embrace challenges, and never stop learning. The journey won’t always be easy, but it will be worth it.

6.  How do you pump up your creativity?

I use meditation and visualization to clear my mind and focus on solutions. Creativity is at the heart of everything I do — it allows me to turn problems into opportunities and keeps my work exciting and innovative.

7.  What is a talent you would like to have?

The ability to inspire and lead effortlessly. A great leader can unlock the potential in others, build an unstoppable team, and turn big visions into reality.

8.  How do you balance work and personal life?

It’s about honesty and priorities. My family and friends understand how much my business means to me, but I make sure they feel valued too. I prioritise quality time and am not afraid to ask for help when I need it. Balance is a team effort.

9.  What are the top five foods you like in Cyprus?

  • Pork souvla for its hearty simplicity,
  • Garlic snails for their bold flavour,
  • Tzatziki for its refreshing taste,
  • Artichokes for their Mediterranean charm,
  • Truffles as a surprising local delight.

10.  Can you name your top five favourite places in Cyprus?

  • Melanda Beach for its peaceful vibes,
  • Athalassa Park for early morning walks,
  • Tokayo Restaurant for its amazing food,
  • Kourion for its rich history and stunning views,
  • Troodos for its natural beauty.

11.  Which personality, throughout history, do you admire most?

Coco Chanel.

She was fearless, broke the rules, and transformed an entire industry. Her story inspires me to stay authentic and never shy away from bold ideas.

12.  Who is your favourite author/book that helped your career?

Daniel Kahneman’s Thinking, Fast and Slow has been a game-changer for me. It taught me to understand how people think and make decisions — skills that are invaluable in business.

13.  Where would you advise our readers to go this summer?

Summer — Normandy, France. Its blend of history, stunning landscapes, and delicious food makes it unforgettable.

Winter — Troodos Mountains in Cyprus. Cozy, snowy, and perfect for recharging
