by THEFUTURE.TEAM

Eurobank has once again underscored its commitment to young entrepreneurship and innovation in Cyprus, backing the annual youth entrepreneurship awards organised by the Cyprus Chamber of Commerce and Industry (Keve).

Backing The Next Generation Of Business Builders

The bank supported the initiative for a second consecutive year at the ninth annual ceremony, which honours entrepreneurs under 40 and recognises their role in advancing the Cypriot economy.

Speaking at the event, Eurobank Corporate Banking General Manager Nicolas Panayi congratulated Keve for its organisation of the awards and its long-standing contribution to entrepreneurship in Cyprus.

Adaptability Is Now A Competitive Advantage

Panayi said companies are operating in an environment defined by constant change, making adaptability, development and innovation more important than ever.

“Young entrepreneurs are not simply creating new businesses. They are creating new ideas, new solutions and new perspectives,”

he said.

He added that they challenge established ways of working, embrace technology, invest in knowledge and open doors to opportunities that did not previously exist.

A Partner Beyond Financing

Panayi also described Eurobank’s role as a partner to Cypriot businesses, saying its Corporate and Commercial Banking operations aim to understand companies’ needs and provide the right solutions, tools and expertise as they grow.

“For us, the relationship with a business is not limited to financing,” he said. “We want to be a stable and reliable partner at every stage of its journey, from the first steps of a new idea through to growth, international expansion and entering new markets.”

Technology And Geopolitics Are Resetting The Business Landscape

Panayi pointed to technological progress, artificial intelligence, geopolitical shifts and broader changes in the global economy as forces reshaping the conditions in which businesses operate.

In that context, he stressed the importance of boldness, adaptability, perseverance and confidence in an entrepreneurial vision.

Cyprus Needs Builders, Innovators And Risk-Takers

He reaffirmed Eurobank’s commitment to supporting people and businesses that invest, create and innovate.

“Cyprus needs people like you,” Panayi said. “People who have the courage to create and turn their ideas into action.”

“People who inspire those around them and open the way for those who follow,” he added.

The awards have become a recognised platform for highlighting young entrepreneurs whose ideas, modern solutions and business initiatives are helping shape the future of the Cypriot economy.
